Daniel has an eye for the essentials. He is known by his colleagues as structured and attentive. The experienced controller is responsible for two business units at the Shanghai site. Close cooperation with plant management is important to him: "The intensive discussions about the development of the business units are what I enjoy most." He also appreciates the collegial atmosphere at the plant. His focus is on the future: where should the business units go economically? "I am happy to be able to initiate something in my position. Thanks to my many years of experience, I can actively approach management with creative suggestions for sustainable growth." Röhm is currently growing at the site: capacities are being increased - the expansion of a production plant for molding compounds is progressing. Daniel brings technical expertise to the table: He has a Master of Business Administration with a focus on international finance.
“Intensive discussions are what I enjoy most.”
In his short year at Röhm, Daniel has shown his resilience: "I can work well under pressure," he says. It's a trait he has demonstrated right from his first few months on the job in times of price increases and pandemic. "In the management team, we developed solutions to cushion the impact." His extensive professional experience also serves him well: for seven years, he was previously employed as a controller in a petrochemical company, also in Shanghai. He has supported the management there with business forecasts, management reports and profitability analyses since the plant was founded - knowledge that now benefits him. "These different roles help me perform my current job." Röhm is not the first German company Daniel has worked for: his career began at a heavy machinery manufacturer in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He hopes to continue growing in his responsible roles. He greatly appreciates the fact that Röhm supports him in his personal goals. When Daniel wants to clear his head, he does sports outside in the great outdoors: he goes hiking and trail running. "I like being off the beaten track in the open countryside - it's the best way for me to relax."
