Leading in MethAcrylates
Launching the next generation of MMA technology
Röhm’s Bay City plant is setting new industry standards in MMA production with its proprietary LiMA process (Leading in MethAcrylates)—a breakthrough in technological innovation. As the first large-scale implementation of our C2-based technology, the facility produces 250,000 metric tons of MERACRYL® MMA annually and is the first in North America to utilize this pioneering process. Ideally located, the Bay City plant strengthens our supply chain while strategically serving U.S. and international markets.
With advanced automation, cutting-edge R&D, and an exceptionally efficient catalyst, the LiMA process delivers product yields exceeding 90% while dramatically reducing energy consumption and CO₂ emissions. By optimizing resource efficiency and minimizing environmental impact, LiMA underscores our commitment to innovation, precision, and sustainability in the MMA industry.
