Open House was a great success
The day finally arrived after a two-year break due to corona: numerous pupils, parents, and employees took the opportunity to discover the company's training opportunities at the open house. Around 50 apprentices and their teachers were on hand to present the various occupations in a variety of interactive sessions.
In the chemistry lab, students measured the density of solids and experimented with ions, industrial mechanics had the opportunity to practice using a welding machine, and young electronics technicians were busy soldering. Another highlight was the station of the warehouse logistics specialists, where people tried out their skills using an electric forklift to transport basketballs into a net.
"An apprenticeship at a growing company like Röhm is an attractive way for many young people to start their careers," says Chief Human Resources Officer, Martin Krämer. "And with our new innovation center in Worms, we can offer excellent prospects not only to our employees but also to budding chemical laboratory assistants." Trainees in the field who are completing their training this apprenticeship year will be employed at the research center.
In terms of visitors, the open house was a complete success. More than 500 guests were counted - a significant increase compared to the time before Corona. The online recruitment test, offered before the event, was also well received. The high level of interest shows how important such events are for young people who are seeking career guidance after graduation.
